Principal's Message - Sept

We are excited to start this year and we thank you for the opportunity to serve and teach the students and families of this community.

Our spiritual theme for this year is, "Formed and Strengthened by God's Word"

 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Some of us think we can do everything by ourselves. We are very confident and rarely think that we need to rely on God's grace.

What does it mean to do all things through Christ? It begins with our relationship with Jesus. It begins as we talk to him and listen for his voice. That's how we receive his grace and peace.

The Apostle Paul writes that, "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want," 

St. Paul tells us that the purpose of this verse is not to tell you that you can be rich, the purpose of this verse is to tell you that you are rich in Christ. So even if you don't have a penny to your name, you can be content.

I hope this scripture will stick with you not only today, but also that it would stay with you throughout the whole New Year, and forever more. There is nothing impossible with God (Luke 1:37), and through Him and HIS strength, there is nothing impossible for us.

 At St. Gregory Catholic School, we believe that students are at the heart of the choices and decisions we make on a daily basis. We strive to ensure that our students are safe, respected and happy members of our school community. When our students feel a positive connection to our school, they are more ready to learn and achieve to the best of their ability.

We believe that our parent community is an equally important part of the success of our school. We encourage our parents to participate in the daily learning activities of their child and in our school life. There are many opportunities for our parents to become connected to our school and we would encourage them to contribute their many gifts and talents by becoming active members of our School Council.

Please remember that communication between home and school is very important to us.  Do not hesitate to call or make an appointment with your child's teacher to discuss any concerns or questions.

The administration and staff are looking forward to an excellent year, one filled with many great memories and moments of joy.
